  • Mathematics and Disabilities Handbook: Your Guide for Students with LD, ADHD, TBI and Wounded Warriors eBook can now help you with more students with different disabilities and render up-to-date advice to faculty, disability services providers and administrators on helping students with disabilities.
  • The Learning Disabilities Resource Guide is a fantastic resource for volunteers, educators and parents. It's considered "the best resources out there" to help match assistive technology and learning strategies to the student's strengths and weaknesses.
  • This is a fantastic site Canadian about Attention Deficit Disorder with great video clips – makes you laugh, but gives you great information too.
  • SNOW is the branch of the Inclusive Design Research Centre at OCAD University that focuses on inclusive education and learning. This Canadian site provides information and training for educators, parents and students with disabilities on technologies for learning both in and out of the classroom as well as promote understanding of inclusive practices.
  • The Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario is the provincial association representing the interests of persons with learning disabilities throughout Ontario. Their website offers resources for people with learning disabilities, as well as for parents and teachers.
  • Ottawa Catholic School Board Assistive Technology Support Website This site describes many of the software programs used by the school board. The information provided is very practical and includes product descriptions, tips, links to tutorials, and more.
  • Free Technology Toolkit for UDL (Universal Design for Learning) This site offers a huge listing of online tools organized by function – from Math and study skills to research and collaboration. There is also a listing of iPad/iPod Touch Apps for special education.
  • The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education site provides information for understanding Ontario's requirements for Individual Education Plans.
  • TeachADHD This website focuses on classroom strategies for students with ADHD. It was developed by the Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto).
  • Ontario Ministry of Education: The Learning Centre This site provides resources on understanding and teaching students with special needs – there are separate sections for educators, parents and students.
  • Nova Scotia Community Organization Network: Assistive Technology Tools, Tips and Tricks This site provides information about a wide variety of learning disabilities and how to support students. The site describes learner profiles, common issues for students, student outcomes and strategies.
  • Alternate Education Resources Ontario (AERO) - The mandate of AERO is to provide alternate format text to students who attend publicly funded educational institutions in Ontario. AERO enables students with perceptual disabilities to access educational materials in a format they require and in a timely manner.
