Enbridge helps Ottawa students plan for success

4 August 2016 / Général

The JA Economics for Success (EFS) program is an empowering one-day workshop for Grade 8 students.  EFS focuses on financial literacy, challenges students to reflect on their personal goals, and highlights the advantages of remaining in school for long-term success. Students prepare a personal budget, role-play interviews, and learn about career choices.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Enbridge, our Investor Circle sponsor of Economics for Success for the 2015-16 school year. With support from Enbridge, the EFS Program was delivered in 99 classrooms this past school year, giving approximately 2,300 students the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today’s workforce. Special thanks goes out to the Enbridge employees who were among the 188 dedicated volunteers who helped us deliver the program this year.

Because of Enbridge’s support, students in classrooms across the city were able to:

  •         Learn why it’s important to stay in school and explore post-secondary options
  •          Gain an understanding of what life is like after high school
  •         Map their interests, skills, and passions to possible careers
  •         Learn how to network, identify a mentor, and create a strong personal brand
  •         Develop strategies that will help them achieve their goals

Thank you to Enbridge for your ongoing commitment to our community!
